Frame/Sash
Cleaning and Maintenance
Over time window frames will accumulate dust and dirt depending on local environmental conditions. Normally these are removed by rainfall or water from a garden hose. To clean the frames more thoroughly, use warm water and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or sharp tools that could scratch the paint finish. Touch up scratches with a Thermotech touch up paint or any other colour matched exterior paint.
Glass
Cleaning and Maintenance
Vinegar and water or any commercial glass cleaner can be used. Deposits left by labels and sealant squeeze out can be removed by solvents or by the CAREFUL use of a razor blade.
Hardware
Maintenance
Lubricate hardware with a silicone lubricant. Do not use oil based lubricants as they tend to accumulate dust.
Interior
Maintenance
Humidity should be controlled so that little or no condensation appears on the inside surface of the glass.
