We (Thermotech Fiberglass Fenestration Ltd) are an Ottawa (Canada) maker and seller of super energy efficient fiberglass framed window and doors.
When it comes to buying windows and doors it can be done one of two ways, either 'supply and install' or 'supply only'.
- Supply and Install projects
We provide installation services for the Ottawa area. We've installed windows or doors as far away as Montreal, Pembroke and Smiths Falls.
If you live outside these areas we'd be pleased to walk you through the installation process so that you can either do-it-yourself or work with a local installer.
- Supply only projects
Whether it is a new building or an older building, if all you want from us is some of our great advice and some windows or doors, we will sell you factory direct - there are no middlemen.
Pricing
Until we have on-line pricing, you can either write, phone, fax or e-mail your requirements. Our pricing is fairly computerized so it's not too much trouble to get you a price. If it's a larger project you can give us an idea of the total number of windows and a couple of typical configurations and we can get you a budget estimate pretty quickly.
Typically we need to know the quantity, size ( W x H format is standard), operating style, glass type, decorative grills if any, color, application (ex. new construction 2 x 6 wall) and anything else you think is important. We'd also like a phone number and a best time to call, so that we can call you with any questions.
Don't be afraid to ask us for something unusual. We aren't afraid of doing custom work.
Shipping
Shipping is usually not included in our window and door pricing. For local customers we look after delivery. For not so local customers we can package windows for shipping. Smaller windows may be able to sent by bus parcel ( Canada only) or by courier. Larger windows can be crated and sent by common carrier (that means truck).
If you want to get an idea of the shipping cost, we will show the shipping cost as a separate item. We normally budget for 10lbs per square foot of window area. Shipping costs start higher for smaller shipments, but the cost per pound drops quickly as the shipment gets larger. International customers don't need to worry about border paperwork - we happily look after that.
Terms
A 20% deposit converts your quotation into an order. For orders outside of Ontario the balance is due before shipment. Otherwise, the balance is due on delivery.
Stock
Windows
From time to time we end up with stock windows or doors. These may be retired showroom windows, or windows that were made wrong (we've never claimed we were perfect). If you can accommodate a range of sizes — check with us... we may have something close to your requirements.
