These four houses are extraordinarily energy efficient. The first two were built before we started building our fiberglass windows – although we have supplied a replacement glazing unit for one of the them (Hanover House).

Commercial

While most of our work is residential, these sites will appeal to the increasing number of commercial designers, especially those interested working to the LEED standard.

  • Eco Condo – This cutting edge building may be the most energy efficient building of its type.
  • Daylighting Design Guide – A good little design guide on daylighting. Published by Public Works Canada, this 86 page document would help anyone designing for daylighting in a cold climate.
  • Solera – Advanced Glazing’s Solera is an ideal daylighting glazing panel. It’s both highly insulating and highly transparent. Because it’s based on glass it can have a similar appearance to vision glazing. The computer simulated before and after images are worth more than the proverbial 1,000 words.
  • CBIP Screening tool – Just 27 entries are required to simulate a commercial building. It’s no substitute for detailed design, but it will help you separate the realistic solutions from the imposters.
